T-REP The YP is an awesome performer and actor. Here he is portraying the lead character of "Sleepy Steve", of the hit book series "The Adventures of Sleepy Steve" by author DeRonte Smith. The diverse group of kids consisting of “Chuck, an Indian boy named Sammy who is the son of a diplomat, Ikea the street smart girl bully and Ms. Elle, the prissy blonde and queen diva of all sixth graders.” To Sleepy’s surprise, this diverse group is accepting of his disorder. The Adventures ensue when Sleepy strives to fulfill a mission given to him by Confucius. Together the five students learn about each other’s cultures as the assist Sleepy in the completion of his mission. Part one of a five part series, Fantastical Adventures is appealing on a multitude of levels and in some ways remind me of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn where an innocent young boy exposes all of our adult faults frailties.
